Hearts FC Personalised Football Calendar

Terrific Gift Idea For Fans Of The Jam Tarts!

Hearts FC has won numerous cups and Scottish Championships. The Edinburgh football club nearly got an additional title in 1965, but lost out to eventual champions Kilmarnock on goal average by just 0.29 of a goal. Hearts became instrumental in subsequently changing the rule to goal difference and the Jam Tarts continue to push the teams above them with entertaining football. Hearts FC compete in the famous Edinburgh Derby with fierce local rivals Hibs and they are also well known for their white and Maroon strip - this was the club's original choice of colours, but also reinforced when a briefly used kit featuring colours of the Union Flag was put in the wash and came out maroon.

Our unique Personalised Hearts Calendars include twelve reproduced match reports from our newspaper archives, featuring some of the most outstanding Hearts FC matches from the past fifty years. Starting from the month of your choice, these A3 Calendars are a popular gift choice for fans of the Jam Tarts, as they are useful, interesting, and can be kept as a terrific piece of sporting memorabilia.

Calendar Highlights

The Personalised Hearts FC Calendars begin in 1966, when the Jam Tarts drew 3-3 with Real Saragossa in the first of an epic trilogy of games against the Spanish club. Following the 5-1 thrashing of Lokomotiv Leipzig in 1976, the A3 Calendar then moves on to the 1980s, recounting the classic European match played between Hearts and Bayern Munich in 1989. Although few people outside Hearts FC gave the team a chance to win the tie, the Jam Tarts would go on to not only win 1-0, but also prevent the German side from even producing a shot on target.

Another classic 1980s match that features in this special Calendar Gift is the 3-0 victory against Rangers in 1985. Hearts would beat Rangers again by exactly the same scoreline in 1996 and other selected games from the 1990s include the 3-1 victory against Dnepr and the 2-1 win against Hibernian, both played in 1990, and the 1998 Scottish Cup Final.

Further highlights covered in this Personalised Calendar include two additional derby wins against Hibs, from 2000 and 2004 respectively, and also the dramatic Scottish Cup Final of 2006. Hearts FC would finally win on penalties, following a 1-1 draw in normal time.
